Jury

Régis Emery, President of the Jury

Régis Emery, Président du Jury du festival de Saint-Lary 2010Free skier who contributed to the evolution his sport in Europe. I grew in Courchevel where I learned how to ski, very quickly the wild ski attracted me and allowed me build my ski, I never skied in club, neither alpine, nor freestyle, only the free ski.
Then I created the first competition of freeride with Courchevel into 94 and this until 98. Then I worked as director of test or head judge on various event freeride before me to withdraw in 2002.
Finally to satisfy my passion and to join my pals I left to Chamonix to live the large ski during 7 years.

Carmen Fernandez

Carmen Fernandez Snowboardeuse et réalisatrice de vidéo de snow.

I was born in the south of Spain. My passion for snowboarding started 15 years ago when I first tried it in Sierra Nevada, and grows bigger and bigger every season.
Due to several knee injuries and surgeries, I started filming and making snowboard videos which combine two of my major interests in life, snowboard and music. This would let me continue in the mountain even though I couldn't ride hard. Two years ago I created my own video production company, Jeepsie Entertainment, an independent and low cost company which is starting but with lots of ilusion and love placed on it. Thanks to this I've travelled around Europe and South America with my camera and my board!

Cyril Neri

Guillaume Desmurs

Pierre LasaosaFou de Freeride depuis mes premières dents, j'ai traversé derrière de nombreux guides passionnés des territoires enneigés à jamais gravés dans ma mémoire.
Rédacteur en chef de skipass.com et dans la presse magazine ski.

Editor-in-chief of skipass.com for 4 years (and in the press magazine ski since 10 years), I have had the nose in the words and the images which tell our universe of slips. Web on a side, paper of the other: I publish books on the universe of the mountain (but not only) in my publisher Inverse (www.inverse.fr) which counts 18 titles.

Jean Mi Gouadain

Jean Mi Gouadain Freerider pyrénéen, il a participé au world Tour Freeride IFSA durant 5 saisons avec de belles places.
Born in GOURETTE (64). I make freeride since always and that makes small ten year that I ride as professional skier. I took part in the world Tour Freeride IFSA during 5 seasons when I cumulated beautiful places and almost as many wounds! On another side, the image takes an important place in my vision of Freeride. When all is joined together, environment, the aestheticism of a line, of a mountain, the style of a rider, the moment is magic. Returned shivers… it spins you is it that I like and what I try to find in my manner of riding.

Chris Southwell

Chris Southwell Snowboarder Pro anglais.
I started snowboarding 14 years ago and have never looked back. I started off skiing but in the early days snowboarding was not like it was now but once I tried it I was hooked. I am a freeride snowboarder so I am always looking for fresh powder and big cliffs to jump off. I have been based in Verbier for the past 7 seasons with my brother and we spend most of the days filming, training and doing photo shoots. We both also compete on the freeride world tour which is a very exciting and fun event circuit to be involved in. My best results are 3rd at the Scandinavian Big Mountain Championships and 2nd at the Czech Scott Ride. Being the only British athletes on the tour can be hard work but we are flying the flag high for our sponsors and getting some great results along the way. My film credits include: Wintermission, The Journal, Show Offs, Allian – 10 years and Ski City. I have also appeared on many occasions on television interview for Sky Sports, Extreme Sports Channel, ITV and the BBC.

I have been with Dare 2B for 1 season and I have never been happier. They have a great range of kit for all conditions which is so important for our style of riding. I mainly use the freeride and freestyle range and I have been so impressed with what they offer. Next year the kit is looking even better and I cant wait to get out on the slopes in it. For me riding for a company is not all about the kit, they are also sponsoring some of the best events in the alps and its exciting for us to get involved. Bring on the snow and look out for us next season on the slopes some where in Europe wearing the Dare 2 B range.
