FR. A l’occasion d’une étape du WS Tour en Afrique, Matt Wilkinson et Owen Wright sont partis au fin fond du continent mystérieux. L’histoire est racontée par Wilco à Dave Sparkes, Photos Corey Wilson et Stu Gibson.
Nous étions à J-Bay et vu que les deux avions été éliminés de la compétition, nous nous sommes dit, super, nous sommes dans une des meilleures parti de la planète avec de bonnes combis et plein d’espace rien que pour nous, let’s go searching !
Nos deux amis sud africains, Paul et Caleb, sont de vrais locaux de la côte Jeffries, de Cape Town et de ses environs. Ils connaissent le moindre détail de ce morceau de littoral. Les prévisions semblaient prometteuses et l’aventure se profilait bien. J’aime vraiment découvrir de nouveaux spots, Owen aussi, alors on a fait les sacs et pris la route.

We’d been in J-Bay and since we were both out of the running for the WSL event we thought, well sweet; we’re in a good part of the world for wearing wetsuits and finding some space to ourselves so we thought: Let’s go searching.
We had a couple of South African friends, Paul and Caleb, who are very clued in to the coastline south of Jeffries, pretty much all the way to the Cape and beyond. It seems like they know every nook and cranny on that huge coastline. The forecast looked really good and it sounded like an adventure. I’m always keen to check out new places, so we just kind of packed up and drove down.
